Su Lin has a wealth of experience in dog training! Her understanding of dog behavior is the result of her many years living and working with dogs.

Su Lin has always had a passion for doing more with her dogs. Before becoming a professional dog trainer, she was a German Shepherd Dog Club of Singapore (GSDC) dog demo team member and volunteer trainer from 2004 to 2008. She attended dog training seminars around the world and was actively involved in competitive dog sports. Her crowning accomplishment from her leisurely pursuits was scoring a record 98/100 for SKC Obedience Trials in the Pre-Novice category with her beloved dog Dano!

From 2012 to 2017, Su Lin volunteered her time and skills at SOSD (Save Our Street Dogs) as the Shelter Officer and Training Advisor (Kennel). She lead the Handlers’ Training Team and Rehabilitation Team on matters pertaining to dog training and behavior modification. She helped to train and rehabilitate new rescues, which have resulted in many fearful, aggressive and anxious dogs finding good homes.

Her time volunteering with dogs was a truly eye-opening experience, where she had learned a lot from the dogs themselves. Su Lin was inspired to take on professional dog training courses and K9 Kampong was founded! She left her full-time job as a school teacher to pursue her passion. She now combines educating school-aged children with her love of dog training. She advocates using positive, gentle and compassionate methods in working with dogs. Trusted in the field, she is on the Project ADORE trainer’s panel for all 5 AVS-endorsed Rehoming Partners.

It is her utmost desire to see dog owners cherish their relationships with their dogs so that dogs and humans live harmoniously together. With commitment, patience and the right guidance to understand and communicate with dogs, all dogs can and will be good dogs.
